The Wado Cup, Leipzig Germany 10th Sept 2011 Achtung!! A group of the Squad visited Deutschland to take part in this Wado Ryu competiton. Well done to all, bringing home 7 bronze and 1 silver medal. August 2011 - Summer BBQ Thanks to everyone who came to the Summer BBQ at Cobham Sports and Social Club, turned out to be an enjoyable event with a bouncy castle, cricket, football, not forgetting the beer and BBQ! See the Photo Gallery! 16th July 2011 - Muscliff Fun Day Lorraine, Tracy and Shaun got drenched and frozen at the Muscliff Fun day facepainting and running the new Penalty Shoot Out game. Approximately £90 raised. Well done guys! 8th July 2011 - Ferndown Carnival Thanks to everyone who attended the Ferndown Carnival and took part in the procession! We even got a photo on the Bournemouth Echo website... Link to photo. See the rest of the photos in the Photo Gallery! 16th June 2011 - ISMAA launches new range of Hoody's and Bags See the Equipment page for a great new range of ISMAA branded bags and hoodys and download a price list/order form. 1st May 2011 - Western Karate Union Spring Invitational Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, Hutton Moor Road, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, BS22 8LY 2011 Another great day for the Squad, who brought home 3 medals. Congratulations to everyone who competed, and an extra well done to Harry Tayor (silver), Zoe Conway (bronze), and Lorraine Clark (silver). 14th April 2011 - Easter Raffle Draw Congratulations to the following who were the winners of the Easter Raffle. 1st Prize - Luxury Easter Basket - Dee Lyons 2nd Prize - Easter Rabbit - Gary Neil 3rd Prize - Chocolates - Adele Beere 10th April 2011 - Sport Karate Academy Kumite Open Several medals were brought home in this Croydon based competition. February 2011 - English Karate Federation ISMAA is proud to announce we are now associated with the English Karate Federation. 29th January 2011 -British International Karate Open 9 medals were brought home from this competition across both Kata and Kumite. November 2010 : ISMAA Championship Well done to eveyone who attended the championships. Click to see the results. 13th November 2010 : Karate England National Championships A great day out for the Squad - bringing home 10 medals. 15th October 2010 : Fashion Show A great turn out for the fashion show, raising a total of £570, half of which is being donated to Brainwave, a charity for children with brain damage. 9th October 2010 : UMA British Karate Championships Great results - the extended team travelled to Stoke for this competition, and brought home many medals. July 2010 Sponsored Punch-a-thon See the pictures and details of how we all did at the sponsored Punch-a-thon July 9th 2010 - Ferndown Carnival Students manned a "hit the punchman" stall, and paraded in the procession around the town. See the Photo Gallery! 13th June 2010 - FEKO 2010 Children and Cadet National Open Karate Championships The Squad travelled to Nottingham to take part in the FEKO Childrens and Cadets Open National Karate Championships. Well done to the whole Squad, who also managed to bring home 4 trophies between them! January 2010 - Student of the Year 2009 Presentation Student of the Year presentations presented at the ISMAA Presentation Party on Saturday 23rd January. 2009
12th December 2009 - Merry Christmas Everyone! See Shaun do a little Christmas Elf Dance to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 22nd November 2009 - ISMAA Championships 2009 Our 2009 Championship took place today at Canford Magna school. Well done to everyone who took part! Next year we'll be opening this up to other clubs in the area. Results and pictures will be coming soon.... 14th November 2009 - Karate England National Championships 2009 Our second national tournament of the year, travelling to Sheffield to take part in the annual Karate England tournament. Well done to everyone who took part, and especially Zoe for getting a silver medal in Kumite. 8th June 2009 - FEKO 2009 Children and Cadet National Open Karate Championships Our first national tournament of the year, the squad took the 3 hour journey to Nottingham to take part in the annual FEKO tournament. 7 trophies were taken home by the club - a fantastic achievement to all who took part. January 2009 - Student of the Year 2008 Presentation Student of the Year presentations were awarded for each club, and an Overall Student of the Year was chosen to represent the whole of ISMAA. Congratulations to everyone who achieved Student of the Year, and for the rest of you.... there's always next year.... |
